Are you the next Investor at Wave Ventures?
Wave Ventures is Europe’s largest student-led VC fund, investing in the most exceptional Gen Z founders in the New Nordics earlier than anyone else. With the backing of Nordic unicorn founders from companies such as Skype, Supercell and Wolt, we aim to be the first investor of every emerging unicorn in the Nordics and Baltics. Thus far, with our funds of 1.5M€ and 2M€, we have helped dozens of Finnish and Swedish teams as their day –1 supporter, including, e.g., Inven, Ambio, Vectorview (YC W24), Reworks (YC S24), Carbo Culture and Paebbl to name a few.
As the companies of the first two funds are making increasingly bigger waves globally, we are preparing towards our third fund with a true Nordic focus. You’ll join a motivated team across three countries to make your mark in the ecosystem. We are currently looking for a new investor for Finland with the potential to grow into building the future of Wave and the Nordic entrepreneurship movement.
What you will be doing with us
Leading investment processes from sourcing to closing into the most disruptive startup founders with the potential to build the next unicorns.
Building Wave’s global VC relationships and participating in global startup and tech events
Running the operations of the fund with other ambitious team members
Being in the middle of the next generation of unicorn founders
Building and shaping the future of Wave
What we are looking for
Exceptionally driven university student with the ambition to change the world
Making an impact in the startup ecosystem – the majority of our alumni have founded their own startup after leaving Wave or joined a VC
Previous demonstration of ability to thrive in fast-changing environments, i.e., through working in a startup, VC, PE, consulting, or building your own company, is preferred but not required.
A natural ability to take initiative and responsibility
Strong prioritization and time management skills
Being part of Wave enables you to be at the core of the Nordic and Baltic startup ecosystem, learning what it takes to build world-changing companies from the most brilliant founders and seeing first hand how the most ambitious young people build their companies and support them on the way.
Working at Wave involves high ownership and autonomy. Therefore, you are able to set up your time, studies, work engagement etc. as you like.
We are looking for people interested in a long-term commitment; typically team members stay for an average of two years, with the possibility to do short internships in between.
