Are you the next Investor at Wave Ventures?
Wave Ventures is Europe’s largest VC run by students investing in startups built by young entrepreneurs. Backed by Nordic unicorn founders from companies such as Skype, Supercell and Wolt, we aim to be the first investor in every emerging unicorn in the new Nordics. With our funds of 1.5M€, 2M€, and 6M€+, we have so far supported 48 Finnish and Swedish teams as their day –1 supporter, including, e.g., the Nordic forerunners in climate tech: Normative, Carbo Culture and Paebbl, and most recently 5 Swedish Y-combinator stellar companies.
As the companies of the first two funds are making even bigger waves globally, we are preparing to expand our reach by recruiting an Investor who will eventually become the Wave’s country lead for Sweden.
What you will be doing with us
Leading the fundraising process and investor relations in Sweden
Sourcing and investing in the most disruptive startup founders in Sweden
Representing Wave in the Swedish startup community
Fostering Wave’s global VC relationships
Building a local investment team
Forming a country-specific investment strategy
What we are looking for
Exceptionally driven university student with the ambition to change the world
Curiosity towards the Nordic startup ecosystem – the majority of our alumni have founded their own startup or joined a VC after leaving Wave
Previous demonstration of ability to thrive in fast-changing environments, i.e., through working in a startup, VC, PE, consulting or banking is preferred, but not required
As part of Wave, you will be at the heart of the Nordic startup ecosystem, learning from the most brilliant founders what it takes to build world-changing companies. You will lead the investment process from sourcing to closing and participate in global startup and tech events.
