The right team doing the right thing.

The brains behind Opeton, Patrik Holopainen and Veikko Kovanen, blend their expertise in industrial engineering and management, computer science, and coding. They both have been active in Helsinki’s startup ecosystem, Veikko through his own ventures and Patrik with previously pushing forward Kiuas, the leading startup accelerator in Finland, as the CEO.

The founders met each other in the early days of 2023, at which time Opeton also found its current business model. Fueled by a mutual passion for entrepreneurship and the rapid development of AI models, the duo quickly found themselves brainstorming over the complexities of language learning, leading to long coding sessions and a vision to build the most effective language platform in the market.
