The future of fashion is shared — Chanel, Dior at 10€/day from others’ wardrobes

Robes Rental, or simply “Robes” is a peer-to-peer premium fashion platform that seamlessly connects lenders and renters. By offering a diverse array of premium clothing, bags, jewellery, and shoes through a shared wardrobe concept, Robes aims to significantly diminish the need to buy new and offers a more sustainable and appealing alternative to traditional fashion consumption.

At the heart of Robes lies a concept familiar to us all: the culture of sharing clothes with friends and family. This practice, supported by the idea that ownership isn’t everything, confronts one of our time’s largest sustainability issues: fast fashion and its disposable nature.

Earn hundreds monthly while accessing high-end fashion affordably

Whether you have unused luxury items in your closet or you want to wear designer brands for special occasions without the hefty price tag, Robes offers a solution. Lenders can generate income by sharing their fashion items, while renters gain access to a world of premium fashion at an accessible price.

“Robes offers the most affordable access to high-end fashion. Nowhere else can you find luxury items like Chanel earrings for just a few euros,” remarks Anna Sillanpää, CEO of Robes Rental.

Anna continues, “Our community in Helsinki has rapidly grown, now serving thousands, and our expansion is ongoing.”

The team behind Robes

Anna Sillanpää, CEO of Robes Rental

The story of Robes began in Finland in 2023, grounded in the belief that fashion’s circular economy is here to stay. The company’s CEO Anna Sillanpää, is a leader with an IT background and a keen sense of fashion. She has a track record of building successful ventures from the ground up and has assembled Robes’ team, including influential advisors in finance and fashion. Alongside her, Anton Holmberg, Otto Jaakomäki, Alexa Mac Donald-Thomé, and Josefina Kohvakka bring their expertise to push the company forward.

The future of fashion is shared

Backed by Wave Ventures and Lifeline, Robes is on its way to becoming the largest, shared digital wardrobe for a global community of fashion lovers.

In the past few months, the company has not only launched its app but also opened a physical showroom at Uudenmaankatu 26 in Helsinki for customers to collect and try on their orders. The showroom aims to experiment with how a physical fitting and delivery point for users can enhance the digital shopping experience in a circular economy marketplace. In addition, Robes has launched a partnership for delivering rented garments from lender to renter, using Wolt Drive.

Looking ahead, the company has ambitious plans to expand abroad within the next years, marking its footprint on the international stage.’

Wave is thrilled to be part of Robes’ journey and proud to have the company in our portfolio.
